Sony have announced the release date of 21 Jump Street‘s sequel – 6th June, 2014.
Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill will return as Schmidt and Jenko in the follow up to last year’s surprise comedy hit, which will see the duo go undercover once more, this time at a university.
Phil Lord and Chris Miller are returning to direct what is said to be a larger celebrity-filled cast, and Hill is teaming up with Michael Bacall again to write the script.
21 Jump Street was based on the 1987 television series of the same name that brought Johnny Depp to prominence. It follows two hapless new police officers who are told to go undercover at a local high school in order to stop the breakout of a new, dangerous drug. The film also starred Dave Franco, Rob Riggle and Ice Cube.
